Steinplatz is locatd in Berlin Charlottenburg, between Ernst-Reuter-platz and Savignyplatz.

Although the square does not contain any bars on restaurants (for those visit Savignyplatz), it is still worth visiting because of interesting architecture surrounding it.
On the square itself there is a monument consisting of two stones, dedicated to the victims of Stalinism and National Socialism.
The main building on the square is the Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste Berlin), a monumental structure located on the northern side of Hardenbergstraße.
In the southern corner of Steinplatz you can admire a beautiful turn of the century building designed in Jugendstil style by August Endell (also responsible for the facedes in Hackesche Höfe).

After the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, the Hotel became a meeting place for the russian nobility, forced to flee the newly created Soviet Union. After World War II, hotel’s restaurant was frequented by West Berlin’s artists and intellectuals.
