The Weltkugelbrunnen is located in the center of Charlottenburg, on Breitscheidplatz, near Europa-Center and the Berliner Zoo.

It was designed in 1983 by Joachim Schmettau.

The sphere itself is buit from red granite, the sculptures are made out of bronze.

The sculptures represent different places from around the world, the installation takes a visitor onto a cultural trip.

The installation measures 8,5 meter in diameter and has different levels, with stairs leading down from the Breitscheidplatz.
